Meet our latest Local Food Champion, the Luckevich Pinchin Honey Bee Research Centre at the University of Guelph. Honey bees are often overlooked for the critical role they play as contributors to our food system. They provide pollination necessary for the production of fruits, vegetables and other crops. At the Luckevich Pinchin Honey Bee Research Centre, they are educating students and the public as well as conducting groundbreaking research to help honey bees continue this vital work.
