The Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association is back to once again showcase and celebrate local flavours throughout the region with an exciting, seasonal multi-day event, this time with A Taste of the Harvest.
From Friday, October 17th to Sunday, November 2nd, 2014 locations across the Headwaters Region will be providing unique opportunities for visitors to experience the fall harvest in Ontario’s beautiful countryside.
Restaurants and businesses across the region will be featuring and highlighting various local foods from the season’s harvest, all for visitors to relish in and celebrate.
Michele Harris, Executive Director of the Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association, tells us:
“Building on the fabulous response we received from consumers about this year’s Taste of Maple event, we are thrilled to showcase the bounty of the harvest that can be found throughout the Hills of Headwaters. Taste of the Harvest will provide another excuse for visitors to experience Ontario’s authentic countryside just steps from the city – and we can’t wait to share!”
You can Taste the Harvest and also take in the beautiful autumn landscape through many of the planned activities and events – celebrate at a pumpkinfest, enjoy a plethora of local food options and meals, or even enroll in harvest cooking classes, among many other options (including some outdoor activities).
Be sure to visit the Hills of Headwaters website for confirmed participants and updates on the event.
Through the celebration of the harvest and the local food that surrounds us, is there really any better way to transition from summer into autumn?
