As we announced in our June newsletter, the “Off the Beaten Palate” TV series was nominated for an Emmy Award, and they have now been announced the winner and have received the Emmy from NATAS (National Academy of Television, Arts & Science), through the Michigan Emmy Chapter!
This was the first project the Golden Horseshoe Food and Farming Alliance participated in, as we were involved with the production of the series, and we are thrilled to see it being recognized.
The three-part series was broadcast on Detroit Public Television in June of last year, and the awards took place just earlier this month in Detroit. A very big congratulations goes to Michael Ann Rowe and the whole team!
Several regions contributed to the production of the show featuring food and farming in Niagara, Toronto, Durham and Peel.
Off the Beaten Palate has been shown on PBS broadcasting at least 4 times since its debut last June. As Micheal Wolfson, Food and Beverage Specialist from the City of Toronto says, “we sure got our money’s worth on this one!”
