Is your community looking for new ways to support your local agriculture sector?
The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) has recently launched a new online Agriculture Economic Development Training course, which will be of great interest to economic developers, land-use planners, municipal councils and community leaders who want to explore agriculture as an economic development opportunity.
The course is split into two sessions:
- Tuesday, March 26, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 16, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The interactive training sessions will share key agriculture economic development concepts, introduce the range of agriculture economic development activities communities can explore, give participants tools to develop a plan for agricultural economic development, and provide an overview of the Agriculture Economic Development guide’s three stages — plant, grow and harvest.
