Sustain Ontario, in partnership with the Eastern Ontario Local Food Conference and local host Just Food, invite you to attend Bring Food Home 2017: Upstream Collaboration from October 26-29.
The biennial conference is taking place in Ottawa this year, and will be host to over 50+ speakers, a number of engaging panels, local tours, hands-on workshops, action planning sessions, networking opportunities, and more.
There are streams dedicated to: sustainable food enterprise, farming and farmland, food waste, municipal food policy, community growing, food justice, and edible education, along with content from the Eastern Ontario Local Food Conference.
Browse the full program on the Bring Food Home website here; the weekend is jam-packed with opportunity for collaborative knowledge sharing in the many conversations that impact Ontario’s food system.
“Local and regional partners are coming together to plan this dynamic conference, where food and farming actors share experience and expertise, build capacity for collaboration and reconciliation within Ontario’s local food networks, and coordinate actions that will lead to sustainable transformations of food systems in Ontario and beyond,” the Sustain Ontario website reads.
If you’re interested in attending, early-bird registration ends October 6th! Sustain Ontario also currently has a contest open for two tickets to the Feast of Local Flavours dinner taking place on the evening of the 28th.
