First Steps in Exporting SeminarThe City of Hamilton’s Economic Development Division has partnered with Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium’s (EMC) Food, Beverage and Bio Sector Initiative to bring Food and Beverage sector companies a free seminar on October 20th: First Steps in Exporting for the Food Sector.

This unique event is designed to make those in the food and beverage sector aware of the many great resources and collaborations that can lead to exporting success. Building export awareness can lead to new markets, the generation of innovative products, plant floor process improvements, and enhanced labour productivity.

The seminar will provide information on key government programs, services and resources available to new and potential exporters.
There will be discussions on aspects such as:
– Web Sources (useful guides and websites);
– Practical Issues (export regulation compliance);
– Preliminary Market Research (online resources and tools);
– Export Planning (sample plans and templates); and
– Key Government Support (resources, skill development & counselling

The workshop will be held on October 20, 2016, from 8 a.m.  – 11:30 a.m. at the Best Western Premier C Hotel, 1530 Stone Church Road E, Hamilton, ON (Castelli AB Room).

Senior Managers, Continuous Improvement and Plant Managers, and Human Resource Professionals.
