Are you a farmer looking to explore new opportunities for your farm?
Durham Farm Fresh, the Regional Municipality of Durham, and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), are hosting a Navigating On-Farm Value-Added information session on incorporating value-added opportunities into farm businesses on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Nestleton Community Centre.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about regulations for food handling premises, resources to support value-added agriculture, funding opportunities, and on-farm business taxation.
Panel speakers will share their own experiences with integrating value-added into their farm business, how they did it, and what they learned.
The event cost $20 for DFFMA members and $30 for non-members.
