Are you in the Broader Public Sector and purchasing local food? The provincial government wants to recognize you.
In June 2019, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs launched the Broader Public Sector Champions Program to provide the opportunity for institutions to voluntarily submit and then report back to the province on meeting their local food purchasing targets.
Certificates of Recognition from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs will be awarded to participating institutions each June during Local Food Week.
For 2019-2020, the Broader Public Sector Champions Program is open from April 1, 2019 – March 31, 2020.
To participate, each interested institution must complete a short survey by December 31, 2019.
